Hello, Internets!
After a bit of a disappointment with Lenovo, they’ve come through with flying colors, My 520i’s palmrest fractured in a couple of really gnarly ways. The machine was still usable, but the fractures were really bad, looked really gnarly and creaked a bit when I put any pressure around it.
After having fancyhands call them a few times, each time returning a different part number, I complained on twitter – only tagging @lenovo as an afterthought – which (to my surprise) got a fast response and helpful email service.
Here I am, 3 days later with a replaced palmrest. Nice ending, but I hope it won’t happen again :)
